Money flows in the fight for NY Senate control

The financial fight for control of New York’s Senate is on for the 2012 elections when Republicans will try to maintain their only bastion of power in New York politics.

So far, Republicans seem to be off to a good start.

Since January, when Republicans reclaimed the majority after two years of Democratic control, the GOP majority’s campaign committee has collected more than $2.7 million in donations, according to Sen. Thomas Libous, who runs the Senate Republican Campaign Committee.
